Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life.
– Jack Kerouac

We are explorers. We walk among the ruins of faded cobblestones and the histories of past rains and riots.
Through desert plants and potted jewels of rubies and emerald leaves.
Sweet summer cherries and tea kettle dreams, we remain nimble through winding staircases and softly spun songs.
Our footsteps splash in running rivers and trace our initials in stardust and ash.
We were made to move. To run. To wander.
To question how deep our roots go and to where they intertwine.
Hands steadied on rusted railings, we mold copper statues with twine and twigs.
Our pilgrimage is eternal.
We dig deep, fumbling through this world with grace, gratitude, and an ever growing need for adventure.
